About Kids Who Ride:
Kids Who Ride is an ‘outside of school hours’ activity program encouraging kids aged between 10-16 years of age to cycle the great outdoors.
Confident young riders are invited to join our small group rides which explore the hidden bike paths of Melbourne.
Kids will be amazed at the interesting discoveries we make along the way, animal farms, skate parks, riding alongside waterways, birdlife, waterfalls, historic boat houses, and arts and treasures hidden behind the landmarks of Melbourne.
All this is delivered by Karen Gittins, a Cycling Australia certified Cycle Coach. Karen also mentors and leads women’s group rides around Melbourne with Ladies Back On Your Bike, a Bayside cycling group. She has also worked for the Department of Education for over 10 years and understands the needs and quality of care required when hosting ‘outside of school’ activities.
In addition to her Aus Cycle accreditation, Karen annually updates her First Aid Certification and has a Working with Children check.
“Your children will enjoy the great outdoors just like we did as children. They will be so busy taking in the fun and exciting sights of Melbourne that they won’t miss their screen time for a second these school holidays!”
