My Architect

Lyndal Williams from My Architect can design to budget. She's designing our house and she's totally bringing our vision to life.

We are currently working with Lyndal and the process has been so easy. The design process is broken down into stages so it's not too overwhelming. Lyndal brings clever designs for a family home and we can't wait to start the build!

I am looking to buy the house we're currently renting and so I wanted to run some ideas by an architect first. The meeting went very well. Lyndal really listened to my ideas (and rather long wish list) and found the best way to work them for our house and relatively small budget. No need to do an actual extension, as Lyndal found a way to redesign the internal space so I'd effectively get the same extension at half the price. There are a few unknowns with the house build/supporting walls etc, so the plan may need to be adapted along the way, but I'm confident that we will end up with what we want and not overcapitalise. Engaging an architect (even for a house we don't own yet!) has saved us a lot of money and hassle pursuing ideas that are impractical and expensive. Needless to say, my partner (who was not at the meeting) is delighted with that! I've already been showing off the basic drawings that Lyndal that did during our meeting to friends and family. Would really recommend the service to anyone who wonders about the potential of their home.

Our entire experience from the start has reassured us that we have made the right choice - Robert has not only ticked all the boxes for us from an architectural and design standpoint (not to mention outstanding knowledge of the technical aspects of building) but he was always accessible via email/phone/SMS - even Skype & Facetime when it was just too busy to meet face to face. He always made time and is extremely patient! The communication has been excellent with timely responses and everything explained clearly when we needed to know more. We are halfway through our build and our planning and design experience with My Architect has been fantastic and has run very smoothly. They did initial designs, handled the town planning process without anything ever being too much hassle, did the working drawings, recommended builders and have been out on site when needed to discuss matters with us and builder if required. Their suggestions during the design process were excellent and very practical, never spending unnecessary amounts of money if not required. Their fees are very reasonable and well explained / documented with timely intervals for payments. We have thoroughly enjoyed the design process and build so far and have not found it at all stressful and are counting down the next few months when we can move back into our house! We had a fantastic experience using Lyndal Williams from My Architect. We initially sought out some ideas via the initial planning stage to estimate costs for renovating. Her initial plan was more than we’d hoped for and she helped negotiate some issues with neighbours, council and builders with no drama along the way.
