Sandybeach Centre is an independent, not-for-profit, community organisation. We provide educational, leisure and cultural activities in the Bayside area and provide many opportunities for participation in the life of the local community, from leisure and lifestyle programs to nationally accredited certificate courses.
It is an empowering community hub that encourages personal and professional development through its wide open doors, friendly team and enthusiastic participants. There is a real sense of inclusion evident in all programs, and a broad range of activities to choose from. We have people learning new creative skills for personal development, vocational studies, health and fitness and early childhood to advanced age activities through to nurturing the development of students with complex needs. It is a warm, friendly and supportive centre that really stretches itself to deliver the best possible service to our community. Belonging to the Sandybeach Centre family is something that stays with people for life.
We provide adult education and training, services for older people and an early learning centre for 0-5s.
Words that describe our approach include – nurturing, supportive, belonging, learning, friendly, social, warm, engaging, enthusiastic, supportive, fit, healthy, involved, happy and creative.
